The 2012 TCA Awards “recognize outstanding television programming in the 2011-2012 season, honoring both actors and producers in a variety of categories including news and information, youth, reality, drama and comedy achievements.” NBC’s Star Trek was nominated for the TCA Heritage Award, which is given from a “long-standing program that has culturally or socially impacted society.” Other nominees for the TCA Heritage Award include: Cheers Lost Saturday Night Live Twin Peaks Shatner has been nominated for a TCA Career Achievement Award. Others nominated for the Career Achievement Award include: Dick Clark David Letterman Andy Griffith Regis Philbin The 28th Annual TCA Award winners will be announced at an invitation-only presentation on Saturday, July 28, 2012, at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
