William Shatner‘s latest film project, titled Get a Life! is set to premiere next month at Comic-Con in San Diego, to be followed by a late July broadcast on the EPIX Channel.

Get a Life! is the “exploration of strangers who have for years attended conventions…” and the film will reveal “a fun and touching side of the fanfare surrounding Star Trek, and examine the thrill of what’s happening at these fantasy conventions and the enduring popularity of the film and TV series.”

Get a Life! will debut July 14 at the San Diego Comic-con with Shatner and Roger Corman (Attack of the 50 Foot Cheerleader in 3D) first taking part in a panel moderated by Kevin Smith to discuss their projects.

Following that panel, Shatner and Corman will introduce screenings to their new films. Get a Life! will be shown at 7 PM at Reading Cinemas.

“We enjoy working with these two icons and are excited to bring them together with their fans at Comic-Con,” said EPIX CEO Mark Greenberg. “We look forward to premiering both of these EPIX Originals on TV, online, and on devices to reach all their fans nationwide.”

For those unable to attend the San Diego Comic-con, Get a Life! will premiere on July 28 at 8 PM EST on the EPIX Channel. Fans who do not have EPIX may take advantage of a free two-week trial for online viewing of Get a Life! More details on the free trial may be found here. Note: Don’t start the trial until July 15 or later, so as to not miss Get a Life! which premieres on the 28th.
